Creative or disobedient

Creativity comes from the lack of inhibitions and fear in our youth.

Our 20 month old daughter has been expressing her creativity all over the house with the normal drawings on walls, chairs and carpets but today she decided that sleeping was not on her agenda so she got out of bed and found her big tub of barrier cream.

What a wonderful media for creative smearing. The waxy waterproof mixture rubs well into sheets, clothes, carpets and ones face and hands. We discovered her almost an hour later when she finally began to make some noise and thought she had just woken up. She was so pleased with her artwork and her ability to empty almost 500 ml of cream all over her room.

Creative or just naughty, well one thing I learnt today is that barrier cream is not easy to wash out of toys and clothes. I do hope that my daughter has learnt that she one day could well become a creative entrepreneur and do well in deco art design.
