Every so often it is good to clean house and refocus on our future based on our long term goals. This week has been one of those weeks for me and HEP. On Monday I was faced with a potential situation that could have stopped what I do in its tracks and rendered me jobless. These sorts of things come out at you when you least expect it. As you can imagine Monday and Tuesday were not happy days for me. It wasn’t until 3 am on Wednesday morning that the solution came to me and by 9 that morning I was in my car business as usual.
Since then I have had some serious looks at what and why I do what I do and have made some adjustments, shedding of old stuff and adopting of new projects and processes. Change management at its best. When the poo hits the fan, are we ready and geared to respond to it fast enough to save our companies and our financial future.
So I am still here and HEP gets to live a little longer and stronger.
